In Park City, Utah, 1996, Backcountry.com had begun its journey and was launched by two people, with a collection of avalanche beacons, and a garage.

Orders placed before 3 pm MST will generally ship the same day. Orders placed over the weekend or on recognized holidays will generally ship the next business day.

For Standard Shipping, orders will typically arrive 4-6 business days from the date of shipment.
For the Two Business Days shipping option, the orders will arrive within 2 business days of the shipment.
For Next Day Air shipping option, the orders must be placed by midnight MST to guarantee same-day shipment and next-day delivery.
If your order exceeds a certain amount, as periodically advertised on their sites, you may qualify for free shipping.
For example, they may offer free shipping on orders over $50. Free shipping offers are applied to the order total after any promotions or credits are applied.

The shipping cost will be calculated once you’ve proceeded to checkout, this can vary depending on, what items you are ordering and where you getting your goods delivered to.

Unused gear can be returned at any time, with proof of purchase, for a full refund to your original method of payment.
Unused gear must be returned in the condition you received it and with the original box and/or packaging, including manufacturer tags where applicable.
If the original method of payment is unavailable, they will issue your refund in the form of store credit.
Used, undamaged gear must be returned within 30 days of delivery, with proof of purchase, and may only be refunded in the form of store credit.
They will not accept the return of products that are dirty or damaged due to ordinary wear and tear, improper use, or accidents.
