Adriana Lima is a Brazilian model and actress, best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, Lima began her modeling career at the age of 15.
Adriana Lima began her modeling career after she was placed second in the Ford “Supermodel of the World” competition and first in the Ford “Supermodel of Brazil” contest.
She was quickly signed by Elite Model Management in New York City, and went on to become one of the most sought after models in the industry.
She has done campaigns with some of the most prominent brands, such as Victoria’s Secret, Maybelline and Calvin Klein.
Lima is one of the “Five Brazilian Bombshells” of the late 90s and early 2000s.
In 2000, she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel and has walked in the annual show every year since, apart from 2009 and 2018.
She is the longest-running model of the brand and was declared as the “most valuable Victoria’s Secret Angel” in 2017.
Apart from modeling, Adriana Lima has also done some acting in films such as “The Hire: Beat The Devil” and “The Follow.”
She has been a spokesperson for various companies, including Kia Motors, and serves as a representative for IWC Schaffhausen watches.
Additionally, she is celebrated for her commitment to fitness and is famously called “the hardest-working model in the business.” Furthermore, she is a philanthropist and is an ambassador for the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Rainforest Alliance.
